Gene Slay's Girls & Boys Club St. Louis - Summer Associate VISTA

Gene Slay’s Girls & Boys Club provides a full‑day, evidence‑based summer program for youth ages 6–16, offering academic enrichment, athletics, arts, healthy living, and character‑building experiences that reduce summer learning loss and support whole‑child development. Running Monday through Friday, the program serves 250 youth with structured activities, meals, and hands‑on learning grounded in national best‑practice models.

The key responsibilities of the Summer Associate VISTAs will be:

  • Support the high‑volume daily intake process and help ensure smooth transitions throughout the program day.

  • Chaperone off‑site activities such as tennis camp, golf camp, B‑Works, and other enrichment outings.

  • Provide supervisory support during large‑group activities, including lunch periods, recreation time, and swimming lessons.
