Guardian Angel Settlement Association - Summer Associate VISTA

Guardian Angel Settlement Association supports children, families, and older adults in St. Louis by providing early childhood education, social services, and programs that promote stability, self‑sufficiency, and overall well‑being. Through its food pantry, community programs, and family support services, Guardian Angel works to reduce poverty, strengthen families, and meet essential needs for thousands of residents each year.

The key responsibilities of the Summer Associate VISTAs will be:

• Support early childhood education and wellness programming by supporting teachers, leading garden and literacy activities, helping launch STEM initiatives, and engaging older adults through Graceful Guardians services.

• Strengthen community well‑being by supporting trauma‑informed healing programs through S.T.A.N.D. and aiding food‑insecure households via pantry operations, including pickups and inventory.

• Build organizational capacity through fundraising support, volunteer engagement, mission‑driven communications, and storytelling that highlights participant success.

• Enhance data and operational systems by digitizing intake tools, improving data quality and reporting, and supporting disaster‑readiness through stronger facilities, processes, and database use.
