Summer Associate VISTA St. Louis University Campus Kitchen

The AmeriCorps Summer Associate VISTA will serve at the Saint Louis University Campus Kitchen by focusing on capacity building to strengthen food security and hunger relief efforts. Their work centers on four key areas:

  • Expanding Resources: Growing the network of local food vendors and increasing fresh produce yields by expanding the local garden.

  • Operational Readiness: Managing food supply chains by processing, freezing, and storing produce and shelf-stable goods for kitchen operations.

  • Strengthening Partnerships: Enhancing collaborations with St. Louis organizations dedicated to alleviating poverty and food insecurity.

  • Volunteer Development: Identifying and promoting new student volunteer opportunities to better respond to the needs of community partners.
